JoJo showed Carolyn and I a picture of an umbrella installation in Vegas. Umbrellas make me happy, the colors, the shape, the way water just rolls right off them....mmmmmmm. I like that people are being creative with umbrellas. It's about time they were seen as something other than a functional accessory.

ReplyDeleteYou should check out Christo & Jeanne-Claude's umbrella installation. It spanned two globes: Japan and America. One of my absolute favorites of their work. Not only was the work beautiful, but it also involved the communities and spoke to the differences/similarities not only in landscape, but also in culture.
